For over 17 years Besite, with daughter companies Tripservice and Tripticket, and the Johan Cruijff ArenA have been working together in the realisation of Smart Mobility solutions. This partnership has now been renewed for the upcoming three years, focusing on working with Tripservice. We asked Wouter Giesen, Consultant of Mobility at Tripservice, about the success of this partnership, and the dreams for the future.
On 28 June the collaboration event of the Reimagine Football Challenge took place where ten selected finalists got the opportunity to get to know the football organisations involved in the challenge and pitch their solutions to them. During the award ceremony at the end of the day 6 winners were chosen by different organisations to follow up on their pitches to start working together on the best football solutions for the future.

Dutch Eredivisie clubs are going to make use of the new, unique measurement devices for optimization and uniformity of the pitches. The data-driven grass management system (HIPSter) was developed by Holland Innovative, a long-term innovation partner, and tested in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
As part of the Football Innovation Platform, a knowledge session was hosted by the Football Association of England at Wembley Stadium. Delegates of the Johan Cruijff ArenA, UEFA, Ajax, KNVB and Tottenham Hotspur FC came together to share their vision on the case of 'fan experience' with three bigger themes being: fan connection, stadium experience, and fan strategy.
Op 16 november bracht UEFA de UEFA Duurzame Infrastructuur Richtlijnen (Sustainable Infrastructure Guidelines) uit. Dit document is gecreëerd om de Europese voetbalinfrastructuur duurzamer te maken en ‘best practices’ te delen met nieuwe generaties. De Johan Cruijff ArenA speelde een belangrijke rol in het creëren en realiseren van de publicatie. Samen met de UEFA en andere grote stadions, nam de ArenA deel aan een panel discussie.
Op 26 oktober vond de Pitch Day van de UEFA EURO 2024 Hackathon plaats, in de gaststad Stuttgart in Duitsland. Innovators, young professionals en fans konden zich aanmelden voor de Hackathon met hun ideëen over onderwerp als digitale transformatie, duurzaamheid en fan ervaring.
Een aantal studenten van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam hebben, in samenwerking met onder andere de Johan Cruijff ArenA, onderzoek gedaan naar de mobiliteit in het ArenA-poort gebied.
